Salahuddin alive, talks with wife over phone
BNP leader Salahuddin Ahmed who went missing three months ago is alive and talked with his wife Hasina Ahmed over phone today.
Hasina Ahmed, wife of the missing BNP leader, told The Daily Star over phone that she had talked to her husband today.
She, however, could not say where Salahuddin talked with her from.
A press briefing would be held at Salahuddin’s Gulshan resident this afternoon, she added.
She went to BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia’s Gulshan residence to inform her about this latest development.
Some television channels reported that Salahuddin talked to her wife from a hospital in Meghalaya in India.
Salahuddin, a joint secretary general of BNP, was allegedly picked up by plainclothes officials from a house in Uttara on March 10, according to his family members.
He remained missing until he called his wife.
