College admission result published at midnight 

The results for class XI admission for the academic session 2015-16 were published on the ministry website on Sunday midnight.

The results were published at about 12:10am, reported UNB quoting Dhaka Education Board chairman Abu Bakar Siddique.

The results are available on the ministry website (www.xiclassadmission.gov.bd).

Earlier, Education secretary Nazrul Islam Khan said the list for college admission on the basis of Secondary School Certificate (SSC) results would be published by Sunday night.

The education also said the results for class XI admission which were scheduled to be published on Thursday could not be published due to technical glitches on the website.

Earlier, the education ministry failed to publish the results, which were supposed to be published on 25 June, thrice due to technical fault.

Abu Bakar Siddik, chairman of Dhaka Education Board, said Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) is trying to restore the ministry website. Another expert team has already joined with the BUET IICT department for restoring the website, said Abu Bakar Siddik.

Earlier on Saturday, quoting BUET authorities, the chairman said the aspirants could not see their results on the Education Ministry website due to technical problem.

The BUET authorities said they found the webpage hacked several times and steps have been taken to restore the website soon, he said.

However, the admission seekers could not get their results on the ministry website www.xiclassadmission.gov.bd till 10:00am on Saturday.

The website showed a message informing that the process for publishing the results was underway and new schedule for the results would be announced soon.

Earlier, the education ministry failed to publish the first merit list for college admission twice due to technical fault.

A total of 11.56 lakh students applied for admission as college admissions have been based on results of the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) examinations for the last few years.
