Anwar, Rizvi 147 others from treason charge 7th September
A Dhaka court today exonerated 147 people including BNP leaders MK Anwar, Abdul Awal Mintoo and Ruhul Kabir Rizvi Ahmed in a case lodged for committing subversive acts.
Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Aminul Haque passed the order, taking the charge-sheet into cognizance.
Sub-inspector Shafiul Islam of Ramna police station filed the case on
January 19, 2015 for a cocktail attack in front of Shilpakala Academy in capital's Segunbagicha on January 17.
Sub-inspector Dipak Kumar Das of detective branch (DB) of police on May 19 submitted charge sheet in the case.
