Dhaka-Sylhet Bus route shut down
Bus service on the Dhaka-Sylhet route remains stopped because of the strike called by transport workers.
The strike was called protesting the death of Shyamoly Poribahon driver Babul Chandra Dey Shibu allegedly after a beat up of passengers at Sayedabad as the bus delayed to start for Sylhet.
Shibu got injured and unconscious in the beat up, and was taken to Dhaka Medical College Hospital where doctors declared him dead.
The strike would end at 6:00pm on Wednesday, said the strikers.
