“BNB”will erase from politics  : says  Suranjit Sengupta

Ruling Awami League Advisory Council member Suranjit Sengupta has warned BNP that the party would be destroyed if it does not take the path of democracy and participate in the upcoming elections of the three city corporations – Dhaka North, Dhaka South and Chittagong.

“It had been BNP’s demand that the elections be held to city corporations. They participated in every city corporation polls under the present Election Commission in the past and won those. Therefore, there is no reason of boycotting the elections this time. Come and take part in the election,” he said while addressing a discussion on Friday in the capital city.

The senior AL leader urged the Home Ministry and the law enforcement agencies to work with sincerity and engage their all-out efforts to trace ‘missing’ BNP joint secretary general Salahuddin Ahmed and return him to his family members.
Earlier on Wednesday night, BNP and Salahuddin’s family members claimed that law enforcers picked him up from a house at Uttara on Tuesday night, an allegation denied by the law enforcers.
