For militant financing’ 7-day remand  for Enamul  

Rapid Action Battalion on Sunday sought seven-day remand for a readymade garment trader, Enamul Haque, who was arrested on charge of financing Chittagong-based “militant outfit Shahid Hamza Brigade”.


The hearing on the RAB’s plea would be held in Chittagong’s Banshkhali court today (Sunday) afternoon.


Businessman Enamul, son of Matiar Rahman of Jayonta area in Jessore, was arrested from Turag Taltala area on Saturday night and shown arrested in case filed in anti-terrorism law.


He was produced before media at a briefing at the RAB-7 headquarters in Patenga of the port city Sunday morning.


At the briefing, RAB claimed that Enamul on 11 August 2014 deposited Tk 16 lakh from an Islami Bank branch in Dhaka’s Uttara in an account named with Sanjida Enterprise.


Shahid Hamza Brigade member Moniruzzaman alias Don maintained the account who was already arrested, RAB claimed.
