EWU students continuing to protest
Students of the East West University are continuing their demonstration for the second consecutive day today at Rampura in Dhaka against the VAT imposed on tuition fees of private universities.
Several hundreds of students started taking position on Rampura bridge around 11:10am, halting transport movement through the bridge.
They are chanting slogans against the VAT on tuition fees, reports our correspondent from the spot.
Yesterday, a clash took place between police and the university students when the latter were staging demonstration in the capital's Badda area. The clash left at least 35 people injured.
