Minister Syed Mohsin Ali  janaza held

Namaz-e-Janaza of Social Welfare Minister Syed Mohsin Ali was held at South Plaza of Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban this morning.

Mohsin Ali, a freedom fighter, died at Singapore General Hospital on Monday at the age of 67.

He was given guard of honour at the South Plaza after his janaza around 10:00am.

Earlier, his coffin was kept at Central Shaheed Minar where people from all walks of life paid their last tributes to him.

The body will be flown to Moulvibazar where he will be buried beside Syed Shah Mostafa Rahmatullah shrine, family sources said.

The minister was admitted to Birdem hospital in Dhaka with pneumonia on September 3 and had been on life support since then. As his condition deteriorated, he was flown to Singapore by an air ambulance on September 5.

Mohsin was a diabetic patient and also suffered from heart diseases. He left behind his wife and three daughter
