Groom leaves for Delhi, sangeet ceremony tonight

All eyes are on the bridal couple Shahid Kapoor and his soon-to-be-bride Mira Rajput as their big day draws near. The couple will tie the knot on Tuesday (July 7) at the Oberoi Hotel in New Delhi. (Read: Here’s what will play at Shahid-Mira’s sangeet tonight)

Groom-to-be Shahid Kapoor was in Mumbai until recently. He was photographed leaving for the capital on Monday (July 6), where the sangeet ceremony will take place later this evening.

Shahid Kapoor was dressed casually in printed shirt, jeans and not to miss his shades.

As expected, there were reporters outside the airport but Shahid didn’t take any questions.

The actor’s parents – stepmother Supriya Pathak, father Pankaj Kapur, stepbrother Ruhaan, friends and relatives were seen arriving at the Oberoi hotel. (See Pics: Shahid’s parents have reached Delhi)

The guests will be putting up the 5-star hotel, which is also the venue for the wedding ceremony. Thereafter a grand reception will be he held in Mumbai on July 12, which will have the industry’s crème-de-la-crème in attendance.

The wedding menu will have both vegetarian and non-vegetarian food along with a mix of continental cuisine.
