Microsoft has released Office 2016 for Mac users across 139 countries 

Microsoft has released Office 2016 for Mac users across 139 countries including India, and in 16 languages, starting today. Initially announced as a preview, the new Office for Mac includes updated versions of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, and Outlook – the familiar Office experience paired with the best of Mac. Delivered first to Office 365 customers at no additional cost, other Mac users can get the availability as a one-time purchase (perpetual) in September.

Office 2016 brings the familiar ribbon interface and powerful task panes with bold colors. Office 2016 for Mac also incorporates all the Mac capabilities like Full Screen View and Multi-Gesture Support. It also supports the new Retina display. Office 2016 for Mac includes Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook and OneNote. While Outlook and OneNote have seen their share of updates lately, the main Office Suite applications have been finally redesigned.

Office 2016 for Mac follows Mac’s design guidelines and looks very much the touch optimised versions available for iOS and Android platform. Microsoft clearly wants you to stay connected with your content across multiple devices. Office for Mac is cloud-connected, so you can quickly get to the documents you’ve recently used on other devices and pick up where you left off.
