Maritime ports ask to raise signal 3

A low pressure has formed over North Bay and adjoining Bangladesh coast and under its influences deep convection is taking place over North Bay.

Squally weather may affect North Bay, adjoining coastal area of Bangladesh and the maritime ports, said a met office warning message here today.

Maritime Ports of Chittagong, Cox's Bazar, Mongla and Pyra have been advised to keep hoisted local cautionary signal no-three, it said.

All fishing boats and trawlers over North Bay have been advised to remain close to the coast and proceed with caution till further notice, the message detailed.
