6 people killed by landslide at Bandarbhan
At least four people including minors were killed and another got injured in a hill collapse in Barisalpara area of Lama upazila of Bandarban early Saturday.
The deceased are Amena Begum, 34, Rozina Akhtar, 35, Sajjad, 5, and Tuku, 10.
Police and locals said three houses were damaged in a sudden hill collapse after Friday midnight, leaving the four killed on the spot and injuring Arafat, 16.
The injured was rushed to Chittagong Medical College hospital.
Lama police officer in-charge Robiul Hasan said the upazila police station, upazila parishad, and local hospital have been badly affected by excessive rain and flash flood caused the landslide.
