Five arrested with 12.5kg gold in capital
Members of Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) seized 12.5 kilograms of gold in Dhaka’s Khilgaon area and detained five people in this connection.
The elite force conducted the drive around 2:00am today and recovered 108 gold bars, worth around Tk 5.6 crores, said Yasin Arafat, operation officer of Rab-3.
No further details could be known immediately. A press briefing is scheduled to be held at later in the day at Rab-3 office in Tikatuli in this regard.
