“Mission: Impossible — Rogue Nation” earning USD 56 million
The mission is accomplished for Paramount with, Tom Cruise starrer “Mission: Impossible — Rogue Nation” earning USD 56 million on its opening weekend. The Paramount and Skydance co-production scored USD 20.3 million at the Friday box office, setting an opening day mark for the popular franchise, reported Variety. The total collection for Saturday was USD 19.7 million,
conveying that Cruise, 53, still carries effective star power. The film with USD 150 million budget marks the third-largest opening for Cruise, following the USD 64.9 million launch for 2004’s “War of the Worlds” and USD 57.8 million for 2000’s “Mission: Impossible 2″.
