7 arrested with smuggled goods in Rangamati
Members of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) in a drive arrested seven persons including a woman with different types of smuggle goods from Jaljan Ghat area under Barkal upazila of the district this morning.
The arrested were Bian Sang, 29, Lalsam Sang, 28, Zirkumtang, 32, Joytan Bam, 46, Salman Bom, 17, Lalboat Tangbam, 35, and Mijpareng Bam, 38. They are all inhabitants of Bandarban district.
The BGB-22 team arrested them from a trawler in the area and recovered the goods including clothes, cosmetics and different types of electronics goods after searching the trawler, BGB sources said.
Officer-in-Charge of Barkal thana Abdul Karim confirmed the incident.
