Son-in-law killed father -in -law  at Mirpur in Kushtia 

A disabled man was allegedly killed by his son-in-law at Mirpur in Kushtia Sunday morning.

The deceased, Dulal Hossain, 55, and the accused, Nasir Uddin, are residents of Varol village of Chatiyan Union in the district.

The wife of the accused, Rupali Begum, also the daughter of the victim, said her husband Nasir sent her a divorce letter while she was staying at her father’s house along with her only daughter. Her father complained about it at the local Union Parishad, and later the matter was taken to the court.

On Sunday morning, Nasir arrived at his in law’s home, and tried to take away his daughter forcibly. When Dulal tried to stop him, Nasir hit him in the head with a wood plank, wounding him critically. After being rushed to the Upazila health complex, the doctors declared him dead.

Nasir has fled from the area right after the killing.

Officer-in-charge of Mirpur police station Kazi Jalal Uddin said the procedure of filing a murder case over this incident was underway
