Three arrested with gold worth Tk 3 crore in Magura
Police in a drive arrested three people along with 80 gold bars worth Tk three crore at PTI intersection in the town early Wednesday.
The arrestees were identified as Subodh Kumar Shil, 33, hailing from Manikganj, Niranjan Shil, 34, and Suman Shil, 35, residents of Savar.
Magura Sadar police officer-in-charge Munshi Asaduzzaman said the trio was going to Satkhira in a bus.
Police conducted a search in the bus at PTI intersection as part of their regular patrol and recovered the gold bars tied with their bodies around 5am, the OC added.
A case was filed with Magura Sadar Police Station in connection with the incident.
