Protocol on Water Transit and Trade of Land ' draft is going to ready
Between Bangladesh and India ' Protocol on Land Water Transit and trade approved a proposal to amend the draft.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Monday morning at a meeting held at the Secretariat office the Cabinet was approved.
After the meeting, Cabinet Secretary (Coordination and Reform) Nazrul Islam briefed reporters.
The secretary, the existing protocol could only river transport between India and Bangladesh. As a result of the amendment with countries neighboring Nepal and bhutanasaha vessels cannot navigate. This contract was renewed every three years ago. Has now been upgraded to 5-year renewal time.
