Average pass 87.04 pc.... SSC Exam

The results of Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and equivalent examinations -2015 were published today with 87.04 percent pass.

According to the Education Ministry, a total of 12, 82,618 students passed the exams out of 14, 73,594.

As many as 1,11,901 students secured the highest Grade Point Average (GPA-5) this year where as it was 1,42,276 in 2014.

Total 82.77 percent students passed the exams under Chittagong board, 84.22 percent in Comilla, 94.97 in Rajshahi, 84.37 percent in Barisal, 81.82 percent in Sylhet and 85.05 percent in Dinajpur.

Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid handed over the copy of result to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina at Gono Bhaban in Dhaka after 10:00am.

The minister will formally announce the results at a press conference in his ministry at 1:00pm.

The examinees will get their results from the respective centres, on websites of their respective boards and on mobile phones via SMS from 2:00pm.

The results will also be available on www.educationboardresults.gov.bd

Around 14.79 lakh students under 10 education boards appeared for this year's SSC and equivalent exams that began on February 6 instead of February 2 due to the countrywide blockade and hartals called by the BNP-led 20-party alliance.

The authorities had to reschedule all exams in the weekends.
