Information Minister Inu says " last 10 years BSS earns Tk 115.90 cr

Haq Inu today said Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha (BSS) has earned Taka
115,89,59,028 in the last 10 years.
The national news agency has also spent Taka 115,89,59,028 in the same period, the information minister said while replying to a written question from treasury bench member Didarul Alam in the House.
The minister informed the Jatiya Sangsad that the agency has earned Taka 10,29,50,400 as rent from BSS Bhaban and subscription for supplying news in the last 10 years. The news agency received Taka 105,60,08,628 from the
government as grant during the same period, he added.
Inu said the government in the current fiscal year provided Taka 18,05,00,000 to the BSS as grant.
He said the government does not provide any financial grant to private news agencies.
