Three new and two full cabinet ministers sworn around 6:pm
Junior home minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal and state minister for science and technology Yafes Osman will be sworn in as ministers of the cabinet, the cabinet secretary said today.
At least three new faces – Tarana Halim, Nurul Islam BSC and Md Nuruzzaman – will also be sworn in at the president’s quarters around 6:00pm, he said.
However, he did not specify their portfolios but Bangla daily Prothom Alo reports they will be latched to the cabinet as state ministers.
“Asaduzzaman Khan and Yafes Osaman will be made ministers,” he said without specifying whether they will become ministers of their own departments.
President Abdul Hamid will swear them in at the cabinet in a gala ceremony at his official residence Bangabhaban around 6:00pm, Secretary Musharraf said.
