For safety of Meghna-Gumti bridges tk 41cr
The government has undertaken a project to protect the Meghna and Gumti bridges straddling the Dhaka-Chittagong Highway.
The Bangladesh army will implement the project cost of about Taka 41 crores.
"The main problem that the project aims to address is the newly formed pit on Pillar 6 of the Meghna Bridge", Executive Engineer (Narayanganj Circle) of Roads and Highways, Roshni-e-Fatima told BSS.
One of the bridges is located in the Gazaria upazila of Munshiganj district, while the other in the Daudkandi upazila of Comilla district.
