Heavy rain may continue 

With the prevailing rainfall likely to linger until tomorrow, the shower might resume again from this weekend after a slight relapse.

August already registered more than average rainfall due to strong monsoon and the trend is unlikely to end through the first half of September, Met office says.

Weather forecast says, a deep convection is taking shape over the North Bay due to strong monsoon, and squally weather may affect adjoining coastal areas of Bangladesh.

The prevailing rain might relapse from tomorrow, said Rasheduzzaman, a meteorologist at Bangladesh Meteorological Department. “We fear, rain might resume from September 5.”

It is a strong monsoon, he said. “The convection over Bay might last until tomorrow. We are hoping tomorrow will be a brighter day”.
