7 petrol boms and huge arms in Sitakunda of Chittagong
Police on Sunday seized huge arms and ammunitions in a drive conducted in the hill tracts of Sitakunda of Chittagong.
The police also detained 3 people allegedly involved in this connection.
Additional superintendent of Chittagong police Mostafizur Rahman said the raid began just at midnight.
A team of police conducted the raid at the hills of Nunachhara area, one kilometer north to the Sitakunda upazila headquarters, said the Sitakunda model police assistant superintendent Saiful Islam.
A total of 70 petrol bombs, 50 crude bombs, 10 local arms, 2 pistols, 20 bullets were retrieved from the area. The force found 3 tents as well.
The raid was going on till filing of this report at 8:30am.
